Pepper and Mint are now over three years old, and seem to have settled into apartment life in the big city.
They spend a lot of their time upon the cat tree in the living room, and Mint has recently usurped Pepper for Top Cat privileges. When not in their cat tree, Mint is usually head-butting Adrian until he gives her some treats, and Pepper is trying to climb on top of my laptop. Generally, they don’t disturb us during the night, although on weekends Mint gets annoyed if we sleep in and starts scratching at the door around 7:00 am.
Mint will follow Adrian around the house like a shadow, ignoring the food in dispensed in the food robot in preference to Whiskers Cat Treats. She even has her own seat at the dinner table. She gets confused when Adrian pokes her belly when she’s in her kitten hammock.
Pepper is the hunter of the two, chasing midges and reflections, and yowling loudly when she finally conquers Sock Rat. She also likes to creep underneath the covers to join me during a weekend nap. She glares at Adrian when he pokes her belly in the kitten hammock. I also suspect that she’s the one who likes finding tissues and placing them in the water bowl.
